Pivoting During a Pandemic - Stories of Adaptability and Tips for Staying on Top of Your Game

Please join us for an evening of networking with your L&D peers and an interactive discussion about the changes to our work and learning to adapt during a pandemic. This event is brought to you by the Sarasota Geographic Interest Group (GIG).

Objectives:

Learn to rethink how you approach your career.

Review your skill sets and consider looking at in-demand skills for today

Discuss trends in hiring and tips to staying relevant

Description:

Who knew that 2020 would be the year of the ‘career pivot’?! As L&D professionals, the pandemic has forced us all to adapt to new ways of working (and/or finding work!) With that, many of us are also at an inflection point, faced with the need to rethink how we approach our careers, brand ourselves and our strengths, and find new ways to adapt and reinvent ourselves in order to stay relevant and ‘on top of our game.’

Join us for an interactive discussion with two experienced learning leaders as they share:

- Their personal journeys of ‘pivoting during a pandemic’

- Trends in hiring and in-demand skills development

- Insights and tips for staying relevant during this time of upending change

You will have opportunities to interact with the presenters, and each other, and come away with fresh ideas and new strategies for success. This will be a great opportunity to take a pause, a deeper look at our careers, and consider new perspectives as we work through these challenging times together.
