Topic: Beyond SCORM: Tracking Learning with the Experience API

For years, we’ve relied on our Learning Management Systems to record all of our training activity.  And SCORM was the way to record any self-paced learning.  But we don’t want to just track training… we want to track ALL experiences!  Now, there’s a way to do that:  The eXperience API (xAPI).

xAPI allows us to record not only formal training courses, but also informal training experiences.  More than that, you can even record Key Performance Indicators with xAPI to directly correlate training to performance.  The possibilities can be endless.  But how does it all work?

In this webinar, we’ll look at how xAPI stacks up against SCORM.  We’ll discuss what xAPI can tell you about your students versus what data SCORM makes available.  And we’ll look at what it takes to use xAPI in your organization.  By the end of the session, you’ll have a better idea how xAPI can help you to better track the learning experiences of your students, wherever they may be!
