Topic: Strategies and Trends in Using Learning Technologies to Impact Business Results

New and old learning and performance strategies are now overlapping.  This brings about confusion which fails to accomplish the desired business results. The key challenge for learning leaders and managers is to decipher trends and strategies that have long lasting contributions and yet produce immediate impacts.

In this webinar, Ray will share three case studies that will help participants to reflect the following issues:

  • How to identify trends in business demands and find the appropriate combination of learning strategies to respond immediately
  • Case Study #1:  A large retail chain with 4,500 stores employed the embedded micro-learning method into their operations. They saved money, reduced learning time, and increased participation and support from store managers.
  • Case Study # 2: This large manufacturing and processing plant reduced the engineering quality assurance and performance learning from 18 weeks to 3 weeks. They also made it an on-going, on-the-job learning thereby saving time and improving the learning results. They focused on troubleshooting and discovery learning and workflow improvement.
  • Case Study #3: A large learning community with over 100,000 members, implemented a method to curate over 50,000 blogs, assisted members to develop a path to their learning expertise. They also innovated a process of linking informal learning with semi-formal tracking to show proof of building skills and interests.

The webinar is highly interactive and participants will be asked to share reflections and insights.
