Regardless of the role we play in Training and Development, we can often do so much more if the clients (internal or external) we serve trust us to the point that we can provide coaching and guidance to help them achieve their goals. This presentation will include how to become a trusted advisor and ways you can provide coaching to their business partners/clients.

Our Presenter: Moira “Missy” McNabb

Missy McNabb is a seasoned HR executive, consultant and coach, known not only for her ability to translate strategic business objectives into tactical organizational and talent priorities, but for her warmth, sincerity and high energy. She is able to quickly build trust at all levels, which has enabled her to collaborate for results, and also build strong, long lasting relationships.

Missy has experience working in almost all areas of the employee lifecycle, designing and implementing programs to achieve positive change. She is an expert in organizational development, leadership development, executive coaching, and change management.

Throughout her career, Missy has consistently facilitated and coached individuals, teams and organizations to achieve their goals - always with an eye towards aligning to the overall business strategy. She has worked in small, medium and large sized businesses. Her in-house HR roles span from the tactical to the specialist, including: HR generalist, organizational development/effectiveness consultant, training and development to talent strategy. Note - her favorite title was “People Cultivator.”

Missy has served a variety of industries including: consumer products, communications, utilities, chemical, healthcare, hospitality, state and federal agencies, education, non-profit, financial services and professional services. Corporate clients include: the Coca-Cola Company, AT&T, Pepco Holdings, DuPont, Axiall, iHealth Technologies, Maxim Healthcare, International Hotels Group USBank and North Highland. Public sector clients include the Georgia Public Department of Public Health, US-VISIT and Fulton County Schools (Georgia). Non-profit clients include the, Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce, the Salvation Army.

Missy earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas, Austin and a juris doctorate from the New England School of Law in Boston.

She is a member of a variety of HR organizations (SHRM national, HR Tampa, Suncoast HR, ATD national, Suncoast ATD, ICF - Central Florida). She is a certified executive coach and holds a variety of organizational effectiveness certifications. She received a certificate in Advanced Business Leadership from the University of Georgia, Terry College of Business and completed an education policy fellowship with the Institute for Educational Leadership (IEL) and the Georgia Partnership for Excellence in Education (GPEE). Missy is a member of the St. Petersburg Chamber of Commerce, serving as a subject matter expert on their Education Task Force. She is an incoming 2016 Board member for Suncoast HR,serving as the VP of Professional Development.

Missy was well-known for her wide network in Atlanta – and has been actively building her new network since she relocated her in July.
